Onboarding Specialist & Employee Success

Skill Demand is growing! After recently moving our Headquarters to Carmel, IN, we are ready to continue this expansion. We are looking for an Onboarding Specialist who also has the ability to function as an Employee Engagement generalist, to join our Human Resources team and help our new contractors through the onboarding process, up through their start date with our various clients. This person is a key to ensuring the candidates that are recruited by our Recruitment Teams and selected for hire by our Clients, get started as soon as possible. This person will also be the friendly face and voice of our firm, building trust with our New Hires.

Our ideal candidate for this role will:

• Have excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Possess ability to multitask and stay organized
• Possess ability to establish and maintain a friendly, reliable relationship with New Hires.
• Ability to prioritize and work with urgency
• Ability to create and maintain daily onboarding update reports, weekly Active/Inactive Contractor reports, and monthly reports
• Have a positive attitude, and high team spirit
• Be able to learn quickly and adapt to various client onboarding requirements
• Have experience in a relevant HR Role
• Have experience working with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Be able to review current processes in place, suggest improvements, and implement any changes created
• Be professional, friendly, reliable, and dedicated to the important work we do for our community throughout Indiana and other states
• Possess basic knowledge of labor legislation
• Be able to work well with people of diverse backgrounds both in person and on the phone
• BSc in HR or other relevant field is a huge plus

Responsibilities include:

• Craft and send emails with information about the company and position, including work schedules, dress code and parking options
• Prepare onboarding kits (Welcome emails, screenshots of work location, schedule appointments for Onboarding candidates to come to our office if needed, etc)
• Welcome new employees’ upon their first day via phone call
• Gather and process paperwork, like contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and exit interviews
• Inform employees how to enter their timesheets, request time off, and use of other relevant systems
• Distribute manuals, passwords and guidelines, as needed
• Address new hires’ queries regarding their contracts and payroll
• Responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information
• Follow up with New Hires at the end of their first week, first month, first 90 days, and first 6 months, etc
• Process employment paperwork
• Confidentiality and work ethics
