Business Analyst/IntermediateAPPLY FOR JOB

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Individual selected should be capable of acting as a liaison with stakeholders to understand the structure and processes of the MCH Program area, identify and define business problems, opportunities and needs, to enable OTC to assist in the delivery of solutions that support both IT and Business goals. The Business Analyst serves as a point of contact for program staff, customers, and vendors acting as a technical subject matter expert for MCH projects. They will provide technical support and work directly with customers to help solve their problems by optimizing how they utilize applications and solutions to meet their business needs. The Business Analyst provides knowledge and feedback to improve system usability, implementation efficiency and product supportability. This position requires an in-depth understanding of healthcare data and operations coupled with an extensive knowledge of large data set development, quantitative data analysis methodology and analytical tools for reporting. The Business Analyst will work independently on simple to complex projects and may assist other senior staff on projects. Individual will needs to have a high level of verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

Assist with quality assurance procedures to ensure that requirements were met, or that specified changes were correctly implemented.
Ability to stay current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies, and demonstrates continued growth.
Ability to provide guidance to users and the help desk staff to guarantee exceptional support.
Ability to support and/or resolving tickets related to Vital Records technology issues submitted to a help desk as needed
Ability to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Write manuals for support and operating procedures
Ability to recommend and document I.T. procedures within the department
Ability to assist program are with quality assurance.
Ability to assist in the development of comprehensive test cases at the application and multi-application levels. Assisting with end-user testing responsibilities.
Ability to maintain user confidence and protect operations by maintaining proper information confidentiality.
A proven history of leading and supporting successful projects.
Ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Experience in working with relational databases, large data sets and multiple data sources in an Oracle and/or MS SQL Environment with proven SQL Skills including SQL report writing experience
Experience with validating and auditing data.
Ability to manage projects, tasks, and deadlines.
Ability to multi-task, effectively manage competing priorities and ambiguity is essential.

User-level Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Business Information systems, or a related field.
