Job Responsibilities:

Assists in the development of technical standards, policies, and workflow to meet the needs of customers, peers, and CJI.
Formulates and defines system scopes and objectives through fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of user needs and business systems.
Creates process change through the integration of new work flow by integrating them with existing ones and communication of changes to impacted parties.
Analyzes business and user needs, document requirements and devises new technical business system solutions, or revises existing system logic difficulties as necessary;
Translate complex/technical concepts and needs to non-technical Business owners /users for validating functional objectives, and from users to technical teams to achieve success in construction of system modules/processes;
Develops or modifies moderately complex information or systems processes;
Facilitates the delivery of technical business solutions both internally and externally;
Understands state and federal administration requirements such as, but not limited to, various financial and programmatic reports, award letters, and contracts;
Performs technical assistance through various computer systems to internal and external customers;
Develops test cases and executes testing on delivered system functionality to validate that system meets agency and user needs;
Assist with providing training sessions in regards to the grant management system;
Create documentation for the system workflows;
Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals; and
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:


· Three years of experience in Information Technology Systems development, maintenance and testing;


· Extensive knowledge of IT business systems, industry requirements, and processes;


· Advanced knowledge of technical programs and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment;


· Considerable knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply the knowledge;


· Working knowledge of programs, program planning, public administration and the political system as they relate to the grant process;


· Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing;


· Strong familiarity with government and foundation contracting, grant proposals, and reporting processes;


· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations;


· Ability to manage time and multiple projects efficiently;


· Ability to work in a team environment yet is self-directed, as required;


· Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines;


· Must possess superior oral and written communication skills. Should be comfortable speaking by telephone and in person for daily operations;


· Ability to prepare and write internal/external correspondence and reports of technical or specialized nature;


· Ability to assist grant staff with federal, state and local contacts to retrieve required information via telephone, e-mail and web based systems, as required.
