Major Duties
Demand Forecast Analyst, Customer Support Operations, Irvine Req 15933 Position Summary:
• We are seeking a Demand Analyst to be a vital link between our Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations functions.
• This role is key in supporting and ensuring the successful completion of forecasting and planning deliverables leveraging latest technology to support an S&OP environment.
• The primary function of the Demand Analyst is the forecasting of future sales and management of the sales, inventory and operations planning data.
• The role will need to perform necessary analyses, updates, and problem solving to improve the accuracy of the forecast.
• The Demand Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with the various business functions, aggregating any information relevant to the forecast.
• The Demand Analyst is the functional owner of the demand plan, responsible for gathering data, developing the statistical forecast and providing support to allow for decision making necessary to submit the consensus plan each month.
• Will be critical in maintaining, updating and improving current forecasting tools as well as the development of new forecasting models and methods.
• May provide coordination for cross-functional teams and/or initiatives.
• Aggregate demand inputs from various sources
• Review, maintain and update statistical forecasting tools
• Analyze forecast errors and discrepancies for root cause and corrective action
• Support divisional sales, inventory, operations and planning processes
• Become expert in Logility Demand Planning software
• Work with Sales and Marketing to develop, organize and interpret forecast on a timely basis
• Host monthly demand meeting and ensure all data and actions are timely and accurate.
• Identify monthly exceptions in forecast and work to identify and action.
• Perform analysis regarding key forecast metrics and identify areas of weakness / strength within the Division.
• Provide training as necessary to division users on Logility applications and reports.
• Participate on special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor Degree in technical or business curriculum
• Experience using Tableau, SQL, Alteryx and PowerBI
• 2 years of demand management, supply chain, forecasting and statistical modeling experience
• Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and SIOP (S&OP) processes
• Ability to lead problem solving activities, develop resolutions and implement corrective actions
• Must be professional in conduct and practice
• Creative, responsive and adaptive in a dynamic environment
• Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills
• Adhere to all established company policies, procedures, and safety rules as outlined
• Ability to work 40 hours per week; bearing in mind some overtime may be required
• Extensive experience and working knowledge of computers
• Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
• Working knowledge of analysis and reporting tools
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to frequently communicate orally, write, read, comprehend, reason, and perform basic mathematics calculations and analyze
• Experience with Logility or similar software preferred
